Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility
The School of Health Sciences (SHS) recognizes that a deliberate and equitable admissions process is required to increase the admission, support, and graduation of students who self-identify as belonging to historically underrepresented groups: persons of Indigenous ancestry (Inuit, Métis, and First Nations – especially Mi’kmaq), African Nova Scotians, African Canadians (especially from the Maritimes), and individuals who encounter significant barriers in their pursuit of health education.
Applicants wishing to apply under the SHS Equitable Admissions Policy must indicate on the self-identification section of the application form. Applicants must meet the admission requirements.
