For decades, programs and initiatives like the Transition Year Program (TYP), the Schulich School of Lawās Indigenous Blacks & Miākmaq Initiative (IB&M), and others have created pathways for young people from Miākmaw communities into higher education.Ģż
Since the Truth and Reconciliation Commissionās (TRC) Calls to Action, Dalhousie has beenĢżincreasingly committed to strengthening relationships with Indigenous peoples, and to serving their postsecondary needs and interests in a respectful, collaborative manner.Ģż
But gaps remain, and much work still needs to be done.
