The Schulich School of Law is pleased to introduce our new Student Services Team who help foster academic excellence and student engagement by providing accessible and inclusive tools, instruction, and resources to students to support their academic and personal pilipiliÂþ».
Meet Adam Guzkowski (they/them), Program Manager
Adam is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Office of the Associate Dean Academic, which includes supporting Schulich Law students through academic advising, academic pilipiliÂþ» programming, academic policy interpretation, and academic considerations such as academic dispensation, exam deferrals, and leaves of absence.
AdamÌýserved as an Academic Advisor at Trent University before joining Schulich Law in December 2023.ÌýThey previously taught at Trent University, Western University, Seneca College, and Fleming College and have completed degrees and certifications in Career Development and Academic Advising, Adult Education, Coaching, Outdoor Recreation, and Cultural Studies.Ìý
Meet Emma Warren (she/her), Student Engagement Coordinator
Ìý
Emma’s role supports Schulich Law students by facilitating access to and raising awareness of the resources, facilities, services, and events designed to help enhance their law school experience. She oversees class registration, 1L orientation, Faculty Advisor assignments and Peer Mentorship, discretionary awards and prizes, and forms for academic dispensation and exam deferral.
She is a familiar face to many at the law school, as she previously served as the faculty’s Receptionist and Career Development Assistant before moving into this position in November 2023. Before joining Schulich Law,ÌýEmmaÌýworked in Student Services at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and North Island College.
