Dr. Leslie MacLaren was re-appointed for a three-year term to the Board of Directors of the Canada Foundation for Innovation (). The CFI funds Canada鈥檚 universities, colleges, research hospitals and non-profit research organizations to increase their capacity to carry out high quality research. The Board of Directors consists of 13 individuals from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives on the research world, and makes final decisions on projects to be funded, setting strategic objectives and providing oversight to increase Canada鈥檚 research leadership through support of research infrastructure.
