Valene MacNeil, who was attending the International Poultry Scientific Forum in Atlanta, Georgia – January 30-February 1, with her 4th Year Project Supervisor, Dr. Bruce Rathgeber, was awarded the Don R. Sloan Undergraduate Honorable Mention (2nd place) overall. She received a cash award as well.
Valene MacNeil says she wishes to thank Dr. Rathgeber and graduate students, Kayla Graham and Xujie Li for their help; “they were definitely a part of her pilipili”. Valene is finishing her 4th year of her degree.
The other students attending the forum in Atlanta were Janessa Henry (Undergraduate student), Cassie Stupart (Undergraduate student), Kayla Graham (graduate student), Nilakshai Abeysinghe (graduate student).
